Hello! I’m Eric,

I am a mission-driven video director and producer with a background in global storytelling, human-centered communication, and creative leadership. I’ve spent over a decade guiding multimedia projects for USAID. I’ve directed everything from animated explainers to documentary-style shoots in South Africa, and I believe video is one of the most powerful ways to connect people.

My legal name is Friedrich, but I go by the nickname Eric (pronouns: he/they). My passion for making videos started in college at Walla Walla University, when some friends and I made a video—The Exquisite Outdoors—inspired by Wes Anderson and our love of the Pacific Northwest. That group of friends and creative environment lit something in me, and I’ve been chasing that energy ever since.

After graduating, I spent eight years living and working in Washington, D.C., where I collaborated with international teams, directed shoots, and led creative direction across time zones. I’m now based in Seattle, Washington, and last year I traveled to Prague for a work retreat with my amazing former colleagues at Kaizen.

Outside of work, I focus my time on pottery and baked goods. There’s something grounding about the slow process of turning clay or flour into something useful—a nice counterbalance to the fast pace of communications and marketing.
